The Cumberland & Dumfriesshire
Farmers Mart P.L.C. had forward 36 prime cattle, 14 young bulls, 18
over thirty month cattle, 4,925 prime lambs and 4,990 cast ewes & rams
at their weekly sale at Longtown on Thursday 17th October
2013.
A plainer show of prime cattle with a shortage of inside fed types. The sale
was topped at 226.5p for a Limousin bullock shown by L.E. Grice & Son,
Newtown and others to 225.5p from A.I. & V. Smith, Westwinds.

after and demanded a premium all day with heavy lambs easier on the

Kirkton and to 242p per kilo for Texel from T.L. Hogg &
Son, Ryehills.
