The Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart had forward 3581
store hoggs, 224 inlamb ewes and 1,045 cast rams and ewes at their
special sale at Longtown on Tuesday 9th January 2007.
A large show
of store hoggs with strong well bred types in short supply, attracted
buyers from a wide area and trade was very dear with numbers short
of requirements. Top was £43.20 for Texels
from Glendearg, others to £40.20 Wanwood Hill and £40
Dunshiel.
