The Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart had forward 582 store
cattle and 27 breeding cattle at their special sale on Tuesday
3rd March, 2009.
Store cattle met a bouyant trade throughout the sale
with buyers from all over the country present. All classes of cattle
in strong demand. Top price was £970 for a pair of outstanding
12 month old Limousin bullocks from WH & DA Gass, Nunscleugh.
Heifers sold to £875 for Limousin from J Robertson & Son,
Becks.
