GREAT ANNUAL KIRKCAMBECK SALE OF STORE CATTLE
The Cumberland and Dumfriesshire Farmers’ Mart P.L.C. had forward
1,445 head at their Annual Kirkcambeck Sale of Strong Store Cattle
on Saturday 17th October 2009.
Cattle remained good to sell with
the whole sale up £88 on the year. Top price of £930
for a Limousin bullock from Mrs C. Aitchinson, Kershopefoot, Newcastleton.
Galloways sold to a top of £695 from A. Carruthers & Sons,
Peela Hill, Bewcastle with Blue Greys to £720 for a pen of
10 from Messrs Wallace, Farney Shield, Ninebanks.
