The Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart had forward a catalogue
entry of 621 Store Cattle and Suckler Calves at their sale at Longtown
on Tuesday 1st March, 2011.
A great show of cattle was met by an
excellent trade upholding recent high rates. The top price of the
day was £980 for a pen of
four 12 month old Limousin bullocks from W.H. & D.A. Gass, Nunscleugh
with heifers selling to £970 for an outstanding Limousin from
A. & J.N. Story, Newbiggin.
