The Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart held their fortnightly
sale of store cattle at Longtown on Tuesday 22nd November, 2011.
A good show of 136 store cattle and stirks met a flying trade throughout
and topped at £950 for a Limousin bullock from C.J. & B.A.
Thompson, Edenbanks with Limousin heifers to £935 from Shaw
of Dryfe Farms.
Breeding cattle sold to a top of £1,400 for
a Limousin cow with bull calf from Messrs Siddle, Moss Side.
