The Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart PLC held their fortnightly
sale of store & breeding cattle on Tuesday
3rd July, 2012.
The
88 store cattle met a big demand but numbers short and many more
could have been sold to advantage. Top price was £980 for a
Limousin bullock shown by Meikle Whitriggs Farms, with a pen of Limousin
heifers selling to £930 from the same home. Limousin bulls
sold to £965 from Messrs J.W.B. Elwen, Pallyards.
