The Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart PLC held their sale
of 86 Store & Breeding Cattle on Tuesday 28th August,
2012.
Due to the bad weather smaller grazing cattle were
a shade easier, but other classes remained good to sell. Top price
was £960
for a British Blue steer show by A A Roskell & Partners, Laverhay
with Limousin heifers to £780 from R J Harding, Nickies Hill.

A small show of 10 breeding cattle met a brisk trade throughout with
the sale topping at £1420 for a British Blue Cow with Limousin
bull calf from Langwathby Hall Farm.
