The Cumberland and Dumfriesshire Farmers’ Mart P.L.C. had
forward a catalogue entry of 284 Store & Breeding Cattle at their
annual sale on Saturday 13th October 2012.
Best quality store cattle continued to sell to late high rates. The
sale was topped at £1000 for a Limousin heifere from A Arthur,
Somerton House. Angus bullocks sold to £970 from J Irving & Son,
The Stubb.

& calf trade remained similar to the national trend and the sale
was topped at £1,500 for a British Blue cow with Limousin calf
from Taylorburn. In calf heifers sold to £1,300 (x2)
and
£1,250 from Becton Hall. Bulling heifers to £1,190
and £1,120 (x2) from Messrs Littleton, Highmoorhead.
