The Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart PLC had forward
a catalogue entry of 401 head at their Special May Sale of Store
Cattle at Longtown on Tuesday 14th May, 2013, which
saw strong cattle sell well but the shortage of grazing saw smaller
cattle a little harder to cash.
The sale was topped at £1240 for a Limousin heifer
shown by CJ & BA Thompson, Edenbanks and £1200 from Mr
A Moffat, 6 Stonehouse. Limousin bullocks sold to £1140 (x5)
from J Ivinson, Hillcrest.
