The Cumberland & Dumfriesshire Farmers Mart PLC held their Fortnightly
Sale of 90 Store Cattle at Longtown on Tuesday
26th November 2013.
A similar sized show were forward although more smaller and hairy
cattle shown. Heifers topped at £900 for a Limousin shown by
Mr A. Greenwood, Far Tree Farm, with bullocks to £830 (x2)
for British Blues from Messrs Irving, The Stubb. Simmental bulls
to £880 shown by Shaw of Dryfe.

A small and mixed show of breeding
cattle forward
sold to a similar trade, topping at £1,100 for a Simmental
cow with calf from Kirtleton House. In calf heifers to £930
for a Hereford shown by Messrs Lawson, Craigburn.
