forward 3,112 Breeding Rams, Ewes, Shearlings and Ewe Lambs at their
Special Sale at Longtown on Tuesday 2nd October 2012.
A grand trade
was met throughout, apart from older age ewes which were only around
killing price. Ewes sold to a top of £98

Shearlings were a great show for quality but short of
buyers requirements and met a fantastic trade, topping at £155
for Texels from Messrs Runciman, Allanshaws, who also sold at £151
and £150,

The Second Sale of 862
Mule ewe lambs were an excellent trade, selling to a top of £108
from Messrs Errington, Cloverhill and levelling at £84.04
(up £6.32 on the year), other Mules to £102, £98
Ellershope, £96 Taylorburn, £96 Snowden Close.
In the
other ewe lamb section the sale was topped at £130 for Millenium
Blue x from regular consignor, A.R. Bell, Kirkton, who sold others
at £122 and £110.
Rams sold to a top of £480 for
a Charollais shearling ram from Messrs Patterson, Upper Auchenlay,
followed at £380 for
a Texel from Messrs Bowker, Riggheads.
