9,125 Store Lambs (including 3,512 Cheviots and 2,010 Blackfaces)
at their Sale at Longtown on Tuesday 16th October, 2012.
Another
massive show of lambs attracted more buyers from a distance as well
as local farmers. Trade was sharper and they were easier to sell.

outstanding entry of 4,672 breeding sheep, where trade for all classes
met strong demand. The 2,813 Cheviot, Blackface & Swaledale
hill ewes, shearlings and ewe lambs sold at extreme rates to a packed
ring of buyers, topping at £90 for 5 yr old North Country
