Dumfries Mart

The pre-eminent mart in Dumfriesshire; Dumfries mart attracts stock from throughout the Southwest of Scotland and the Scottish Borders. Located in the market town of Dumfries on the river Nith, the mart is thirty-nine miles Northwest of Longtown.

The mart hosts renowned fortnightly sales of store cattle together with OTM cattle and rearing calves.  Regular specialist sales of breeding cattle and organic stores are also held. Prime sheep and ewes are sold weekly with seasonal sales of store sheep and periodic sales of dairy cattle and pigs.
