The excellent show of hoggs incorporated the show
and sale of Cheviot hoggs. The 3381 hoggs over 36 kilo averaged 176.1p with the 1711
under 36kg averaged 165.5p.
The overall sale average was 174.4p.

cast ewes and rams were forward to the usual ring of buyers and saw
another very good show of ewes upholding recent high rates, with
good hill ewes short of requirements. Throughout the day there were
151 ewes realised over £100 per head.
