An excellent show of 1,066 prime lambs saw an average
of 225.8p per kilo on a falling national trade. Quality Texel and
Beltex lambs short of buyers requirements and more could be sold
to advantage, but more noticeable was the extreme demand for lambs
between 28 and 35 kilos, which regularly sold between 230p and 250p.
More lambs now required on a weekly basis to fulfil our large ring
of buyers orders.
